After 4½ hours of golf for charity at, Turnhouse Golf Club on 21st June 2017, all eight golfers were scratching their heads trying to work out how it took them so long to get round. After all they had the course to themselves!  With hindsight they probably should have set their alarm clocks for 2.00am and not 3.00am.

The dress code was “loud”, with many going beyond the call of duty.  Paul Wightman deserves a special mention as he was dressed in full clown regalia.

As expected, with mixed golfing abilities they turned in a wide range of scores.  The final combined score was 788, confirming that the course record is safe.  Thank goodness it was all for charity!

The fundraising for our nominated charity SMA Support UK, has gone much better than expected with the total reaching £1,600.

We would like to pass on our immense thanks for all of the extremely generous donations. This makes what we do each year to raise money for charity so worthwhile.
